Although a bit rainy, this past weekend was still busy in Westfield. I had the pleasure of attending Elizabeth Tammaro's American Flag Drop Box Eagle Scout installation at Fire Headquarters. Elizabeth is the daughter of Westfield Fire Department member Aldo Tamarro. Her project involved reusing old mailboxes by stripping them and then painting them in a patriotic style to be used to dispose of American Flags. .
I also attended the ribbon cutting for Mochimoly Donuts on their grand opening. The addition of Mochimoly adds to the growing food scene in Westfield.
And, as a reminder, election day is coming up. Please remember to vote in the Primary Election. If you have a vote by mail (VBM) ballot, please drop that as soon as possible to the dropbox at the Colleen Fraser Building at 300 North Avenue East (across from the Westfield Diner), or you can drop it in the mail.
Tuesday, June 6th is election day. Polls open at 6 am for those who vote in person. Polls close at 8 pm.
