A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Acting Out Theatre School presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream on August 3, 4 and 5, 2023 at 7 pm at Foundation Park. Shakespeare’s comedy gets a dazzling disco makeover.  The show runs approximately 2-hours with intermission.

Local restaurants will be offering Shakespeare themed snacks so grab a bite downtown beforehand.

Westfield Memorial Library News

On Monday, August 7th from 10am until noon, the Union County Board of County Commissioners invites seniors and their caregivers to come to Union County's Aging Service Kiosk (ASK) community event at Westfield Memorial Library.

The ASK program provides Union County residents with a friendly, convenient way to find out about helpful programs and services for seniors and caregivers.  The program brings professional staff from the Division on Aging to local public libraries and other community centers.

Recap

Its been a really busy time in Westfield.  We had the official opening of our two new bike oases which feature: secure bike racks, repair tools, air, water bottle filling station, dog watering station and more. Click for video on my FB page.

🏊‍♀️🏊🏊‍♂️ I spent a very special night celebrating Judy Lee’s 50 years of dedication to the Marlins Swim Team! Nearly 500 people came to honor her, with many past and present swimmers and coaches in attendance. I was honored to be photographed with some Memorial Pool royalty: Don Bogardus, Jim Gildea and Bruce Kaufman have all held leadership roles at Memorial Pool in the past.

Additionally, I hope you had a chance to catch some of the other great events including the dedication of the Washington Rochambeau Revolutionary Route Association NJ with the  Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums and Yosi and the Superdads who were jamming out  with kid-friendly tunes on Quimby.

Always wishing you the best,

Scott Katz
